Wednesday Season 3 Filming Kicks Off Sooner Than Expected

Fans of the hit Netflix series Wednesday have received welcome news: Season 3 filming is set to begin before the end of 2025, significantly sooner than previous reports suggested.
In a recent podcast interview with Tommy DiDario, Tyler actor Hunter Doohan confirmed the accelerated schedule, stating that production would begin on or around November 30. This start date is a major improvement over the long wait for the previous season, which Doohan himself lamented.
The delay between Wednesday Season 1 (released November 2022) and Season 2 (which didn’t start filming until May 2024) resulted in a nearly three-year gap between the two seasons—a timeline often criticized by viewers and the cast.
By starting filming in November 2025, just a three-month gap follows the Season 2 debut in August 2025. If production follows a similar schedule, this swift start could put the Season 3 release around March 2027. This accelerated turnaround is a “far, far cry” from the lengthy hiatuses seen in the past, suggesting that the massive waiting periods for major streaming hits may finally be shrinking.
